Glock Design Wishes

Ok I'll participate.

1. Change the sights to metal three dots or night sight. Yeah yeah I know Glock has night sights but it should come with night sights for standard model.
2. Get rid of the BUMP at the bottom of the back grip. It will change the grip angle.
3. Get rid of the grooves. Or make the grooves less pronounce.
4. Use a thicker/stronger extractor so it ejects brasses consistently.
5. Just use the (-) connector as standard model.
6. Keep the finish
7. Keep the reset
8. Change the rail to standard 1913 rail.
9. Keep the polygonal rifling
10. Keep the frame and the slide design. Doesn't hurt to add the front serration.
11. Keep the mags.
12. Change the 10-rd FOLLOWER.
13. Go back to the single recoil spring.
14. Redesign the dust cover to eliminate the ugly pig lips symptom.

they have the smallest pistol case around. I would make the take down tab a little bigger. Trying to pull down on something that is almost flush with the frame is difficult.

Personally I'm glad they put 25 cent sights on glocks. If they put high quality sights they have to charge at least $50 more. Then they'd only satisfy 10% of the people. 90% would ***** about having to pay more for sights they don't like.

The stock glock sights are really just a placeholder so people can add the ones they like. I think it's a smart move on Glock's part.

--Somehow allow high thumbs hold w/o inadvertent depressing of slide lever (either move it, recess it, or make some sort of shelf)

ETA: The grip angle is perfect. If people want a 1911 grip angle, buy an XD.

I love my Glocks, and I'm waiting to DROS my p320, but I really don't get the rabid hate of having to pull the trigger to take down the pistol. You're going to clean it ANYWAY, you should already have removed the mag and checked the chamber for a round a couple of times. Sig makes a big deal about it in the promo vid for the p320 and I just don't see a problem.

First off this is NOT a comparison thread. It is a thread regarding your wishes Glock should change or improve on.

For instance on facebook the page "Love My Glock" they posted and used this picture. Its not a comparison, its just a guide for future changes to improve the glock design.

This is coming from a Glock Fan Page. Please dont turn this into a sig P320 vs Glock thread.

Sights - DGAF, cheap placeholders keep price down

Grip angle - Yeah, this is annoying, they can really easily change this to something like the Lone Wolf frame, which basically eliminates hump completely then has interchangeable backstraps that can beef it up to standard Glock contour

Finger Groves - Yeah, there's no need for these, Gaston, please remove.

Eruo rail vs. 1913... who cares, the current rail works fine

Plastic mags... non-issue, mine drop free no prob and they're metal on inside, plastic exterior just means less concerns about corrosion.
