It is a little awkward but I got used to it. Sometimes I used my middle finger to work the release lol -
I did not think I would but I like the paddle release... I use my trigger finger and do not have to break my strong hand weld on the weapon...brilliant!Last edited by Ronin2; 11-02-2014, 12:51 PM.Comment

HKs paddle mag release does take time to get used to... With that being said, I really like it and I use the middle finger of my shooting hand to drop mags.. I do this much faster than I do regular mag releasesComment

A surprising amount of people make this mistake, though I suppose if it works for you, it works for you. The paddle system is designed to use your trigger finger to sweep back; it's a much faster motion that usually allows for your strong hand grip to remain constant while you reload.Comment

I have a few HKs and Walthers with the paddle release---like it MUCH better than the button---use trigger finger---fast and natural, don't have to shift grip on pistol.
Why worry about a reloading HD gun? Chances are you won't be reloading anyway---HD situations usually last only a couple of rounds...Comment
