If it were me, I would NOT sell the gun to him. Doesn't seem like he's mentally right in the head to be owning guns around kids. I'm sure you'll find a seller on this forum.

Other than what I have already put. Loaded handgun in couch,on shelf,nightstand,AD in house. Also he will carry conceled with out permit and he has a temper. Also my friend came to visit (when I live with my Cousin) and my Cousin pulled his gun on him. He didnt point it at him but had it in his had like who the F are you.

He had a few in the past but fell on some hard times. So he had to sell them. Can't get much for a single shot 410 gauge, thats why he still has that.

Make sure you do a legal transfer and go to a gun store to conduct the transfer. Your cousin sounds like a moron.

Frankly, your post sounds like it is coming from an anti-gunner to goad us into saying you should sell your cousin the gun because it is his right to own them. Then you can show everyone how crazy we are for saying you should sell it to him given the fact that you "know he won't secure it and his kids have friends over all the time and your cousin had a previous negligent discharge."

The problem with the whole "Darwin" thing is it sounds like the one he may select is one of us at the range or one of the kids at home.

Who cares that he was in the military or had some sort of permit - "he's not very safe with guns". Based on that should there even be a debate as to whether or not he should have a gun? Next we'll hear he has a terrible temper, has done the "anyone screws with me & I'l blast him" routine followed by a question as to whether he should have a gun.

If he legally buy the gun from you and something happens, he will be legally responsible. Of course, since you've made it clear that you are aware of his stupidity and the likelyhood of something going wrong, don't you think that you will be morally responsible? If someone dies sue to his negligence, will you be able to live with yourself?
