    SIG SAUER P938...?

    Found this ballistics chart:

Looks to be around 4" Bbl/50yd performance at the muzzle. (although the 147 gr. XTP is just about spec.)

Thinking of grabbing one (SSE) before the Soviet takeover on 01Jan15.

Anyone have any useful comments/concerns/suggestions on this little wonder-9?

sand down/smoothen the bottom edge of the trigger, put some loctite on the grip screws, then shoot to your heart's content.

"Useful" is relative and subjective. What sort of information are you looking for?

        Well...

Though I'd get the new 9mm version of the GLOCK G42 when it came out... but the Soviet occupation precludes that.

Always wanted a Sig Sauer P220 SAO... but am happy w/ the GLOCK G36.

Would like something lighter and smaller... when a G36 is too big.

So, the P938 looks good for a lot of reasons... just have little/no operational knowledge of them.

It's a great gun, and a popular choice for CCW. Here's an operational demonstration of the P938 from a guy you can trust: http://youtu.be/w6Js4acN46k

I thought you couldn't ccw sse( off roster) guns, unless you bought them ppt?

I just picked one up and put 200 rounds through it.

No feed, eject, or fire issues. The gun has good recoil absorption.

The trigger is absolutely horrible at 8.2 pounds. Worse than a hi point. Worse than a glock. For such a small gun a heavy trigger is no joy or aid to accuracy.

That said a new hammer spring and cleaning up the sear should get you to a smooth 5.0 pounds. Minimum CCW trigger weight is 4.0 pounds.

And the grip screws are falling out after 50 rounds.

Where is the pride in manufacturing with sig on this gun?? There is none.....

                Depends on the IA.

I have a p238 that I plan carry and I love it, so easy to conceal and just a great gun. My CCW training instructor was impressed with the accuracy of it!

I owned it, the trigger leaves A LOT to be desired.

I literally put 2 mags thru mine, and sold it the week after...

The Trigger will smooth out after a few hundred rounds. For a carry gun, I don't think the trigger is bad at all. I have had zero issues with mine with both 115gr Ball, and 124gr Speer Gold Dot HP's. The size of the gun makes it very easy to carry. Great gun IMO.

                            ^^ What he said.

                            I will add two things:
                            1. You can add 1mm x 3mm o-ings to the grip screws to prevent them from loosening.
                            2. Keep an eye on the guide rod. It is 2 piece and sometimes they unscrew. IF that happens, use Rocksett on the threads.

My wife and I both have a 938 and they are great little guns for carry. Smaller than our XDS 9 so they are extremely easy to conceal.

Is this true? Not that it really matters to me right now as my county is a commie county that won't issue. I have one and would like to believe that someday I will be able to get a CCW and put my P938 on it.
