    S&W Model 10

Got this from my Dad before he passed away. Dad bought it back in the late 60's or early 70's, I've had it now 7 years and this is one of my favorite hand guns. Cobalt Bluing is awesome, look closely and you can see some violet in the bluing. You just do not see bluing like this now a days.

An older 5-screw version, very nice. The Model 10's were the standard police issue back in the day. Those stocks are worth some money too. Nothing like the old bluing as stated. A very nice piece for you to remember your father.

                      You don't see blueing; period!

Manufactures should be ashamed of calling anything they are putting out as "Blued".

You have a very fine example of a blued gun.

Sorry your Dad isn't here to shoot it with you

                      Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

Someone did an nice job rebluing that gun and giving it a second life. Did your old man do the refinish job? If so, it is neat to have something he reworked with his own hands. It looks like it has a new barrel as well based off the long throw hammer and single line address, which would make it an M&P (pre-Model 10) frame. I bet that thing has some really neat history. Wish he was here to enjoy it with you.

that's a nice piece, keep it and pass it on like I'm going to do with my model 13-3 3" the bluing on that looks much like mine but mine was made in the early 90's. nothing I have matches it. I wish I had something like this from my dad.

Scobun, the way you see it is the way it looked the day my dad purchased it. Here is a photo of some other little trinkets that came with it. Bullet holster with nickel cased S&W 38 ammo.
