Yup, found a number of good shops to perform the SSE, so it shouldn't be a big deal. Just need to find the right gun and pull the trigger.

I bought mine from George Talia at Michigan Gunslingers. A nice Wilson Combat CQB in 45acp, about two months ago. I also bought a very sweet Nighthawk Custom GRP in 10mm from him at the same time, in fact they shipped to the FFL for transfer in the same box. I haven't checked his inventory lately but his prices were way better than anything I saw on Gunbroker or any other place for that matter. Call George and ask him what he has coming in if he doesn't have one you like right now. The prices he lists on his website are credit card prices, but if you pay with cash/check/money order then you will get a good discount. Then you just need to SSE the one you get.

I have exchanged some emails with George but he doesn't have a CQB in stock, and is about 10 months out on any new guns coming in. He has been extremely helpful but I think I may have found a CQB.

Dang, glad I got mine when I did. Seems that around May/June George was getting new CQB's in every week. He did tell me when I bought mine he was doing huge business with Californian's getting their dream gun before SSE was done.

Yeah, you guys are about a year or 18 months late on the custom build Wilson SSE game.

I believe the last custom Wilson I ordered was an order I placed last December, and that was for a custom build that George already had in the pipeline since June 2013 or so. My wait time was significant reduced due to this fact (and I got a Turnbull blued gun, which WC no longer offers)

There are still some nice custom Wilson's to be found if you look hard... I started looking late also only starting in July this year.

While I would have liked to have done a custom built wilson, I did find some from Migunslingers and tractus that had most of the features I wanted and ended up getting something from George which had most of the options I wanted.

You are just going to have to decide which options you really want and some you can do without..... In the end I didn't think I would find one I would want not being able to customize it, but found the opposite.

I found more but not enough SSE spots. So for those still wanting a nice semi custom from wilson, nighthawk , guncrafter etc ... They are out there you might just have to do a little work to find them.
