Colt O1991AR (Fearless Defenders of Freedom) / Blue Steel .45 ACP Pistol 5" 9/30/2014

These don't look like renewals..anyone know how they got added without microstamping? I can't imagine they started testing before July 2013, but maybe they did?

I think the Colt was actually added more than six months ago. Cosmetic changes only exemption? Same story for DE?

When did the Desert Eagle Burnt Bronze get on originally? I've only seen the standard and Brushed Chrome up until the sighting of being added to roster.

I didn't know that just cosmetic changes didn't necessarily require a complete re-test.

(a) A firearm shall be deemed to satisfy the requirements of
subdivision (a) of Section 32015 if another firearm made by the same
manufacturer is already listed and the unlisted firearm differs from
the listed firearm only in one or more of the following features:
(1) Finish, including, but not limited to, bluing, chrome-plating,
oiling, or engraving.
(2) The material from which the grips are made.
(3) The shape or texture of the grips, so long as the difference
in grip shape or texture does not in any way alter the dimensions,
material, linkage, or functioning of the magazine well, the barrel,
the chamber, or any of the components of the firing mechanism of the
firearm.
(4) Any other purely cosmetic feature that does not in any way
alter the dimensions, material, linkage, or functioning of the
magazine well, the barrel, the chamber, or any of the components of
the firing mechanism of the firearm.

Each model must be individually added to the Roster and each requires the annual fee. It is entirely the choice of the manufacturer which models will be added to the Roster in this fashion.
