I carry the p2000sk for my CCW gun very good choice for that. for a full size I would go up to the HK 45

I carry the sk version. It's a sweet firearm. If you are looking at the P2000, you should really consider the P30. Might as well get the latest and greatest.

If it had a better reset I wouldn't feel the need for any other (non-CCW) 9mm.

Best group I ever shot was with a P2000 SK 9mm

It's an excellent gun, I'm sure the full size version shoots even better.

I have an P2000 in 40 S&W. I like it but in retrospect i should have gotten it in 9mm.

Good gun, easy to clean. It has long ambi slide stops witch i like but they are easy to accidentally hit with a two thumbs forward grip. Not really a big deal.

I dig the HK mag release too.

Won't be able to make the SSE deadline otherwise I'd be eyeing the P30
              Shot a VP9; wasn't really impressed

              Let the flaming begin

So what's wrong with the reset?

I find the double action first shot to be very gritty and heavy. Other than that another example of fine German engineering. Amazingly accurate for a compact weapon.

I shot a friend's p2000. I was surprised at how accurately it shot, for a little gun.

Try looking into getting a V2 (LEM).

It's one of my favorite H&K's. Great ergonomics, smooth shooter in 9mm and also .40 is manageable, mags aren't to bad as far as price and very concealable. It's a great choice but there are cheaper options

They will take whatever you throw at them. I prefer the P30 for adjustability, but I have a P2000 as well.

Bruce Gray can really help the trigger if you simply can't live with it.

I have the P2000 .40, USP Compact .40, and USP Full Size .45, they are all excellent firearms! I agree the P2000 "feels" the best in hand when you're just holding it ect. The USP line actually has a better trigger IMO. If you compare them side by side you'll see what I mean. The P2000 has a very long "squishy" trigger compared to the USP, mind you they all have the same DA/SA system ect, not the LEM triggers. If I could only have one gun out of the three it would be the Full Size USP .45, IMO it's the BEST semi-auto handgun EVER made.

Bought a used P2000, 9mm, years ago (a consignment gun from turners) so I have no idea how many rounds it had through it. In a little over a year I put over 3500 rounds thru it without any malfunctions. It had the LEM trigger which I consider a plus. I sold it because it didn't do anything more than my Glock 19, which held more rounds and was just as accurate in my hands. I'd get another one with the standard LEM trigger if I found one cheap enough, but cheap and HK don't go together.

P2000 LEM 9mm... I liked it a lot. Well built, accurate and easy to shoot well. For CCW it carried well IWB. THE LEM made this gun for me.... Hammer fired and having the ability to thumb over the hammer when re-holstering was comforting vs a striker fired gun.
I no longer own it not because it wasn't a great pistol it was just a bit larger than I wanted to carry. The flat mag bases work well and small up the gun vs the standard mag bases... if you are to CCW the gun.. I think the 2000SK has the P2000 beat for a carry gun due to it's size difference. My Glock 36 beat out the P2000 for comfort and it's the same size as a G19 which I prefer for carry over the P2000....
                              That said;
If' I'd of chosen the P2000sk I'd still have it... 9mm is the way to go IMHO with this platform. It handles recoil and is fast shooting.. Not that I don't like 40 or 357sig... For that I have the lovely SIG 239 40/357sig Which due to it's heavier slide soaks up the more powerful 40/357 quite well.. especially the 357
I think HK builds one of the best production guns out there. You get what you pay for in HK... and that is from a guy who also loves GLORPS who I think has started to cheapen up their build to a point where I'd rather own an older glock than a new one...

                              Good luck in your decision...
