Milt Sparks makes outstanding holsters. Their VM2 was the IWB gold standard for decades and I still own one of his OWB holsters.

I personally prefer TT-Gunleather's products, but it's a matter of personal taste. Both make beautiful gear but be prepared to wait two plus months for delivery from either.

Milt Sparks OWB 55BN (BN=Bruce Nelson); this is a classic from the late Bruce Nelson's design of the '#1 Professional' holster. the 55BN features reinforcement around the mouth of the holster and sight channel inside the holster. the holster is of stiff leather and always holds it's shape. various cants are available.

all of my examples of the Milt Sparks 55BN holster are older ones that were made during the lifetime of the late Milt Sparks (marked Idaho City), but the company has continued to put out top-notch gunleather since his passing. i have a few Milt Sparks holsters of recent vintage (marked Boise, Idaho) and the quality is excellent+.

These combine the sturdiness of Kydex with the soft leather that protects your finish. They are called the Silent Thunder 2.0 holsters and come in three color choices. I have them for the 1911 pistols, my Glock 21, and bought one for my new Glock 42 that I am still waiting to do the SSE on next month.

My favorite 1911 leather holster right now is the Ritchie CQ-QR. The quality is equivalent to Lou Alessi's CQC-S before he passed away.

i believe you chose wisely. Skip Ritchie is the former business partner and protege of the late Lou Alessi. i have numerous pieces of gunleather made by Lou Alessi's shop before his passing. i happen to have an Alessi CQS-S, and Skip Ritchie may have had a hand in the making of this and other Alessi gunleather that i own.

Savoyleather has some classic looking 1911 holsters. Might want to look into that.
