Sig seems to have a strict policy of, "Oh really? That's never happened before."
They had that reaction when my 716 Patrol was unable to cycle and yet the internet was abuzz with rediculously well documented issues.

I get it. Denial is their form of acknowledgement.

Even though I felt I could have recd better customer service from the rep, the rifle was returned to me in perfect working order with some major enhancements. As much as I'd love to hate Sig for all the good reasons provided by others, they'll probably take care of your issue. Sadly, my 229 was made around this same time. I hope this isn't a shared part but I appreciate the heads up. Now I can take some before and after pics...

Wow I didn't realize there was an article on truthaboutguns.com about this issue. I guess the problem was more widespread than I previously thought. It's surprising the CS rep kept denying that this was a known problem; made me feel like a jackass and as if it was my fault the pistol broke. A buddy of mine got the same pistol but had less round counts through it and so far his hasn't malfunctioned yet. But that remains to be determined.

Before the Sig I was mainly using a Glock 19 and that thing runs like a champ although not as pretty as the Sig or as pleasant to shoot. Well that will teach me to be a fancy pants. I guess I will be going back to the Glock 19 as my fighting pistol.

Meo do not feel bad the sig cs leaves a lot to be desired. I had to rma my brand new 227 because of an out of spec barrel. The feed ramp got chewed up. I sent it into sig and they blamed me for improper barrel install. They have switched their policy from the customer is always right to the customer is an idiot and lets point fingers at them while distributing an inferior product. Eff em move on and buy something from a company that appreciates your business.
