I went with the Loaded because of the fixed sights and front serrations. Didn't like the target sights on the RO. As far as fit and finish goes, my Loaded is just as tight as any RO or TRP I've handled.

Well it seems like the loaded has a good rep except for Gryff's. One question though is the troublesome Loaded an NM frame?

Loaded is as good or better and you can find "Target" models with adjustable sights.

RO is just the latest model that everyone's overpaying for.

The price point of the "RO" is less than the Loaded for a reason.

In my case, I had 3 different shooters shoot both guns and all 3 times the RO's groups were tighter. both were new out of the box. Just my opinion. maybe I have a factory freak.

Sounds like you got a loaded version that was not accurate.
I have owned a few loaded models and shot many of them.
Normally, they are accurate. My last one was the most inaccurate one that I have ever seen.
I had a barrel properly fit and it is a tack driver.
Factory guns have a wide range in what is considered good enough to ship.
Sometimes you get one at the inaccurate end of the scale even though most shoot well.

Oh you know what I'm a dummy, that wasn't a great comparison because mine is a 9mm and his was a normal 1911.

I love my loaded models although I have no experience with the RO models. I'd recommend the loaded if you love the added extras that you won't be getting off the mil spec versions. Even if you end up choosing the RO the extras could always be added on later from the custom shop and as always you can't beat SA's warranty if you do encounter problems.

One of my 45 loaded (discontinued) is by far my favorite and it's one of the finicky ones with ammo. Although, I've fixed the issues it has had in the past, feedramp needed polishing and get better mags such as etms or the 47ds. The magazines it came with works though.

The 9mm I have is my favorite 9mm compared to the rest of handguns I own. It has hardly any recoil due to the nature of the 1911 platform. For some reason, the fitment from slide to frame is really tight which I wouldn't expect from a heavily produced handgun. A lot tighter than my other 1911s.

Before you buy one and your LGS has one in stock, handle it and see if you like it overall. As each 1911 is never the same, even though they are mass produced by many manufacturers.
