I switched out to the rubber grips on my 97 too, helped allot. I didn't dig my 97 nearly as much until i got them. To bad they do not make fat aluminum grips because the thin aluminum's look great.Vive La Exile Machine!!

LOL. I got one about 4 months ago, but I've been so busy SSE'ing others, mostly for competition, that I still haven't gotten around to shooting it yet.

My LGS has a CA compliant version in stock. However, I've got 4 SSE's to complete before the end of the year. I've got 4 guns sitting at another store. Maybe next year.
The problem is SSE will be gone and the CA compliant might be off the roster next year. I should stop worrying this is a first world problem.Comment

CZ 97B is one of my favorite .45 to shoot, besides my Wilson and Nighthawk, because it's the softest shooter due to the weight. Trigger reach needs work for DA but nothing that David Milam@CGW can't handle as he does wonders. The pistol is very accurate.
They new CZ 97B now come with fiber optic front sights as they did on the discontinued glossy blue version.
OP - No offense but maybe you are not used to 45s due to mostly shooting 9mm so all I'm saying is don't rule this pistol out just yet. It is very accurate and shots can be consistent.sigpicComment

Just checked CZ USA's 97B lineup. The 97 Decocker comes with night sights like the SP-01.
Gotta say i am a bit envious of your glossy blue CAGLS., nice find.
It would still have big fat screws in it. Interesting idea though.Last edited by Tok36; 09-08-2014, 10:01 AM.Vive La Exile Machine!!

I'd been wanting a Cz97B for some time and found an early one (1998) while doing a PPT on a S&W model 36 at the Shootist in Murrieta recently. I like the look of the earlier ones w/o the forward slide serrations. They were asking $525 and I got it for $500 ($570 w/tax and dros) it is in excellent shape and I'm looking forward to trying it out next week. It'll be nice to do a comparison session with my Springfield Armory MilSpec. If all goes well I'll consider it a great deal considering that most of the ones for sale are at a minimum $700+.Comment
