24k Desert eagle or Gold Titanium

I always wanted a Gold Desert Eagle and with only 1 spot remaining on my SSE spot I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on it.
I found both the 24k and Gold Titanium in stock, both same price. After doing some research I found out the 24k finish wears faster then the Gold Titanium. Has anyone seen both in person and which one looks better? Is the shine on the 24k and Gold Titanium similar?

I do plan on shooting it atleast a few times but the main purpose of this purchase is just to look at it and smile.

    Thanks in advance

To do something like this right, you have to go all the way. You need the Tiger Stripe in .50AE. Anything less would be a compromise and this is something that should be done totally free of compromise. Since you are dropping 2 grand anyway and this is going to be an investment after the first of the year, I would get a .44 barrel with it too so that you will have that flexibility and added value. You don't want to spend $1,800 getting a gold one and then envy the guy who spent a little more and got the Tiger stripe.

How many times in your life do you expect to even have the option to own something like this? Go all the way my friend.

May just get a used one with finish issues for less than 1k ( most of the time ) and send it to Fords refinishing for gold plating for $550 . May save around $500 and no worries about using your last sse slot.
I believe fords were doing the finishes for Magnum research at one time , i could be mistaken tho.

I personally like the 24k. Thinking about picking up a DE too but I want the Israeli made so will have the gold plating done later.

BTW nice picture on your profile...

Tiger strip or nothing. When I can afford one I will get the TS and put it next to a Gold Rhino on my desk.

I hate the tiger stripe ones, go TiN gold and get as many barrels / slide parts as you can. Gotta have the .50 in there.

I would get to finish that last longer and is more resilient -the titanium gold rather than the possibly more bright & beautiful 24 karat gold.

although I've never liked tiger stripes on handguns, I have to say that the top picture some of these pictures make it look pretty good...in a pimp gone wild kind of way.

I tried hard to like the Tiger strip DE and maybe seeing one in person would change my mind but for now I'm going with all gold. I just can't decide between 24k or titanium.

The real question is, what color will your big floppy hat, fur-lined trench coat, high heeled boots, and silver-handled cane be?

I've written up my ongoing adventures as I learn to hunt.

Yes, you CAN fit a case of shotgun shells into a .50cal ammo can.

I think i found an optimal solution for ammo can labeling.

I made this target for the NRA's Marksman pistol test. I think it's a lot better than the paper plate they suggest.

I got a black DE .50, and there are times I wish I would've got 24k gold. Tiger stripe, not so much.
You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
If I were you, I would not pass this up. I would not let this go by...this is rare.

I prefer the finish on the titanium gold, it's dare I say classier (if that's even possible)
