    Big gun!

Got to hold my first Desert Eagle today and "Oh My"

Also saw a .460 revolver (with what I would guess to be a 10 inch barrel) in action. Whomp!

Eventhough I hear the DE can be finicky, I'm not too worried. I reload so I think I can figure out what it likes.

So here's the question, if DE, is .44 mag good enough? Get it in .50?
    Conversion kit?
If I do this thing, gotta go with stainless. Right?

    Stainless? No. Gold and Chrome!

if you are in ca the only way to get a .50 is to buy the .44 and convert it. its big, loud, and eats money the early ones would jam, IDK if they fixed that yet.

Good enough for what? What do you want it for? So you can say you have one or do you want to use it?

I have the stainless .44 DE, the Super Redhawk Alaskan in .454, and a S&W 500...they're always fun to take out and put a few rounds through. Obviously not real practical unless you're doing some serious hunting, but I assume practicality is not your chief concern. I say grab the 50 barrel if you can find it and enjoy

I have both the de and 500. Both great guns, my de never jams or had any malfunctions. I bought cause I like the looks of it. Ammo is going to cost a little bit of money.

I like mine. Been good to me. If the ammo is weak then you have to manually cock it after every shot. Mine eat Magtech with no problem. Its the only ammo I use now. Gotta get the hogue grip. I seem the 50 barrel at turners all the time. I wish I didnt have to sell mine. I know I am going to miss it

Had a .44 way back. Fun for a few trips but unless your running hot ammo, it had feeding issues. A good gun for action movies.

Very accurate however. Sold it. No regrets.

The wheel gun in .44. .460 or .500 will also be hard on the wrists. Wear Gloves for both.

At least with the wheel gun you can mount a nice scope on her and go hunting for BigFoot..

Plus you can download the ammo and not worry about running a heavy slide.

Maybe I'am too cranky about hand cannons. Rent one first and get over it.....haha

For the cost you can get a couple of really fun lever guns.

                        This is encouraging!

No, I don't plan on hunting with a Desert Eagle and yes, I plan on shooting it, as to how often I won't know. My 629 gets out on most "revolver days" and whenever there's a bunch of guys meeting up at the range.

Why do you recommend wearing gloves for both?
