Picked up my PPQ (9mm,) yesterday, and went to the Fieldtime target and training today.

Pistol had no failures over 150 rounds, which included American Eagle 115, Freedom Munitions 124 grain RNN (round nose new,) and some Fireldtime remans. I have to say I am not a great shooter, so started with my M&P's to warm up, and then concentrated on the PPQ. I'm still learning striker fired pistols as I came from owning a HK USP 45 that I still love.
Trigger is awesome, but so light I understand how people can have unintended double taps... It may be 5.5 pounds as claimed by the factory but it sure doesn't feel that heavy. Reset is so short I'm going to have to PRACTICE a lot if this is going to be my main HD pistol. I bought it because it has the ambi mag release and my wife is a lefty. I wanted a true ambi pistol for home defense and didn't want a USP 9, or the VP9 after trying it.
I switched out the backstrap to the medium (had put large in before leaving for the range,) and it was a catastrophe. I immediately put the large insert back in. I have to have my wife try it out and see which backstrap insert she likes, and then see if I can live with it. So far, I'm really liking this pistol.
here is a link to the targets. note, the orange and green circles are 4"ers.
