I would steer clear of any compact polymer pistols chambered in 45 ACP because of the recoil, its just that much harder to get quick follow up shots. When I shot my buddy's USPc in 45 there was just way too much snap after each shot.

      This....
If you practice more, you'll improve it. Shooting it once in a blue moon and making conclusions like that is not really a good idea.

I'd agree with this statement. I've been carrying and qualifying with a Glock 30 since '99. It all really comes down to practice and range time. Granted anecdotal evidence is not data, but personally I find the compact polymer guns in general and my G30 in particular to be as accurate and controllable during double and triple drills as any other.

I have a perfect Burning Man attendance record: zero.

You do know there are more guns in the country than there are in the city.

Put your big boy pants on and shoot the thing a little. I carry the XDs 45 3.3 great gun shoots great, just need a little more range time if you can't handle the recoil.

But that being said I think the OP was asking about the XDs 9mm...

I want an HK45c too, so that gets my vote. The Vp9 would be lighter and more concealable though I think.

I'll agree with QBG in post #3.

And, 9mm ammo is generally less expensive than .45 acp. This can equate to more practice/training opportunities for lower cost.

There's also a thread on CG that stated if you buy any Springfield Armory pistol you get 3 magazines + mag pouch free with rebate until October. Obviously, it'd apply to either the XD or the RO.

If you reload, the difference is negligible.

I agree, shooting it once in a while is not the same as 2,000 rds in 4 month like I've done with my CZ. I shoot my CZ better than any other gun. (but at the same time I forgot how to shoot everything else!)

Sorry big boy, I traded my big boy pants for the speedy boy pants I wear now.
