    1911 80% SSE question

Yes, I've searched and I could not find the answers so here goes... I'm almost done with the rails on my TM 1911 and have started to accumulate SSE parts for the initial build. I have a training mag that does not allow any rounds to be loaded that I will install into the frame in a way that cannot be removed without a tool so I'm covered there. I also have a 16in .45 barrel which is where my question comes in. Is there a max length per SSE rules that will turn the 1911 into a carbine? I know the min length has to be ~11in but can't find anything on max length. Thanks in advance.

SSE pistol = min barrel of 6" and min over all length of 10.5".

California law states that a handgun is to have a barrel of less than 16".

If I were you I would have a little taken off the top and have it recrowned.
    Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

That's what I was looking for. So I'll cut the barrel to 15in and re crown it before putting this mess-o-parts together. Thanks!
