Just get a HK45C and buy a tactical barrel separately if you can use is out of state. Or do the reverse, get an HK45CT and buy a regular HK45C barrel separately. Unless you really must have the longer barrel, then buy a separate threaded barrel and have the threads removed. Getting an additional barrel for compliance allows the 3 serialized parts to match.

If we were to get a HK45cT and get a spare threaded barrel. Would it be legal to get a barrel cap and have it welded on? Or does it have to be turned down?

      Thanks
You could but that would be tough to clean, oil, change parts... Unless you plan on never taking it apart. I would just de-thread the spare barrel.

You know I never though about that. You're right if I weld the cap on, I'll never be able to break it down.
        Thanks.

Id just buy the HK45C and skip the tactical, or am I missing something? Move out of state, you sell your off roster pistol for a premium and use that money to buy the tactical if something better hasn't replaced it.

If you capped it you cannot take the gun apart. Other than the threaded barrel it's nothing special.

The silencer height Meprolights and barrel are the only differences from the CT compared to the C.

Get the HK45C, buy Mepros (or Trijicon HDs) and barrel from HKParts.

IIRC there is a guy in north San Diego on the For Sale forum here who has an unfired HK45C for sale. You can PPT it and save an SSE spot.

It's got the safety/decocker. I have the same gun. I thought about buying his as a spare, but I'd rather focus on getting a couple more guns I don't already own before the end of the year.

Yea I would prefer the lower sights myself if I was going to replace the barrel with one that you cannot add a CAN too. But I guess I'm not as tacticool as some

                      Buy my barrel! lol

Also the sights are not silencer height. They are standard mepro's.

Plus they come with 2, 10 round elephant foot mags instead of the 8 rounders.

I was looking to purchase a HK45CT to own the same handgun issued to the SEALs aka the "MK24" but the Glocks take priority for me for SSE.
