    Price Gouging

It seems rediculous that so many people and shops over pricing Glock Gen4's.
Some selling 17's for 850.00. I'm just glad that our local shop "Alquist Arms" don't screw their customers. alquist sale gen 4's at regular prices, 5 to 600 range, depending on model. Alquist will also SSE if you need it.
    Just venting.

As long as people will pay they will charge what ever they feel the market will bear.

Yeah, makes me hesitant to tell people about great FFLs with low SSE fees. Too much business and they might not have any barrels for my SSE and I'll have to go to the gougers.

          Market price is just that

(Used car dealerships near marine bases always have the best price)

Unless there is a disaster disrupting normal activities and behavior, people can shop where they like-

I'd pay more for a Gen 4 Glock via PPT if I meant I freed up one of my "1 in 30" slots, especially a SSE one.

This. Right now I have 3 SSE guns I want but I only have 1 slot open. That $800 Glock might cost you $1,000 next year. Pick your poison.

Some ppl don't like the idea of SSE for various reason, so PPT is the only way for them to get an off-roster toy. It obviously comes at a premium price.

I am sure the second-hand market will be quiet in the beginning of the next year. Everyone is buying now.

I hope the $850 is at least the OTD price. I don't think prices will skyrocket in November. Keep in mind that the Gen 3 is still on the roster. If I really wanted a Glock 17 and couldn't get a Gen 4 that would be ok.

Doubt it. Probably the same $850 or so at the high end. While it is an SSE, it is a market saturated pistol and the gen 3 is still available. Now, a Glock 41 or Glock 42 is a whole different story. Or maybe even the gen 3 Glock 17L reissue. But the 17, 19, 22, 23, 26, 27, etc.... won't carry as much interest.

I don't predict VP9's going for much more than $800-$900 either. Right now, everyone is jumping on that pony.

The high value pistols will be the odd models that nobody ever talks about. The sleepers that are currently highly underrated.

Alquist is awesome! Done 2 transfers there and they have been fantastic! Anytime I'm up that way for work I try to sneak in and buy something just cause.
