Since u like metal frame'd weapons... May I suggest P220combat (metal frame'd double stack .45acp), and a 1911 in 9mm (metal frame'd single stack 9mm).

I second that. I just got a standard shadow a month ago. What a great gun. Out of the box it just runs. I shot a local match with it after only shooting 5 rounds through it. I came in second out of 15 shooters. I actually like it better than my sp-01 shadow because it handles better.

Lot of good suggestions here. I have been seriously considering a P229. I've never really been fond of Glocks or striker fire period.
