PPKS or MK25

Hey guys, I know its a pretty random question, but with SSE coming to an end, I want to grab as many cool guns as I can before the end of the year. That being said, I only have so much money being a starving college student.
On one hand, the Mk25 is the gun of choice for the SEAL (or so they say). It doesn't get any more operator than that. On the other hand, the PPKs is carried by 007, the M***ERF**KING 007 doggnit.
It WILL NOT be a carry/SD/HD gun I'm mostly just looking to collect and maybe shoot it once in awhile. Assuming its possible to SSE a PPKS, which gun would you recommend?

I would vote for the MK25. SEALS are FO' REALZ and 007 is a fictional character.
Then again, by that logic, I WOULD prefer a lightsaber over a phaser because star wars happened a long time ago in a galaxy far, far away while Cap'n Kirk and those hot space aliens are real but just haven't happened yet.

In all seriousness though, there are a hundred .380's out there that are better than the PPK and the MK25 is just one of a hundred flavors of the P226. If you MUST spend top dollar to get the anchor on the side then so be it. Just keep in mind that the rail on the MK25 is "milspec" and its a bear to get anything on or off that rail (compared to the "normal" P226) and it won't fit the same in most kydex holsters.
IF IT WERE ME, I would also look at the Dark Elite model. It has the adjustable combat sights, beaver tail grip and front cocking serrations.

If you're doing SSE anyway, consider a PPK in .32. That's what Fleming outfitted Bond with. You can always find a Sig in California, but old Walthers in state seem to require an estate sale.

Investment? Sounds like you are already deep into the best investment you can get--your education.

While both weapons are appropriate for, 'A Educated Man of Action'....

Personally, I'd choose the MK25 with it's phosphate coated internals to prevent corrosion... especially if I was known to occasionally blow off classes in favor of surfing and beach volleyball!

depends.... i have a MK25 and I like it... but really all it is, is a p226 with an anchor and a sticker. I added my own SRT (all da/sa sigs shoulf have one).

I also have a P226 Scorpion and love it, except for maybe the color of the grips, however they feel fine.
SRT, Night Sights, and Beavertail....

Depending on what you want it for (collectability), the MK25 might have the slight edge.

If it were me, and I had to do it all over again, for the money, it would be a P226 Scorpion or Dark Elite.... if I need a major "operator" gun i would get a P228

I have several PPK's and PPK/S's. I have one unfired Sig 226 Navy (older NSW model...non-railed). I have fired the Walthers, but the 226 just sits in the safe.

My vote is a PPK. Remember....as a previous poster mentioned Bond used a .32 acp in a PPK and not a PPK/S. I think this is a better long term investment. Get one in a .22LR and you'll be really happy. Don't get the current 22 LR model.

Now if you ever plan to shoot competition (IDPA or USPSA) once in a while go for the Sig 226. I do believe the Sig will offer you more "shooting options" than the Walther.

Scorpion does not have phosphated internals, nor is it needed. don't get me wrong, i have a mk25 myself. but i clean and lube my guns, i also avoid swimming with it
IIRC MK25 and M11A1 are the only sigs with phosphated internals.

both have night sights

scorpion adds beavertail and SRT.
Keep in mind, adding SRT to a MK25 means replacing 2 internal parts without the magical phosphate coating.

beavertail is mostly for looks, a little comfort - but neglible. I don't shoot any better with it, or worse without it.
