I'm building a TM frame with a Fusion long slide. There is a very long thread over at the Gunsmithing section on the TM frames and various builds that people are doing

theres the TM like posted above, KTO makes or did make one, and then theres the Ares if you want to take a chance on a polymer frame

sucks that all of these frames are railed and IMO a little weird looking, Sarco used to sell a traditional 80% but havent seen them for sale

Yep. A small mill and a keyseat cutter, shallow passes and you can have a very smooth, tight fitting slide. It's actually easier to machine than a 80% ar lower. Fitting the parts is a whole different game though. Every 1911 has parts that are custom fit to that frame

What did you think would make it an 80% ?? lol. There has to be a significant amount of work to make it a firearm.

making a long straight slide is harder with my tooling than just hogging out a place for a FCG and drilling a couple holes. I'm sure its not hard if you have a real mill, but i dont.

There's the "rock in a cave" thread in the gunsmithing section, all you really need extra compared to an AR 80% is a few files.
