        Here are two examples of Gen III grips and screws.
        Photo one are fake grips and screw. Note the shallow depth of the checkering and the shallow depth of the screw head shank.
        Photo two are original Colt grips and screws. Note the thickness of the checkering and the thickness of the screw head shank.
        Sad to say-the imposters are going for over $200.00.
