Are you sure it is an 8"? from the picture and angle it looks just like my 6". Did you measure it? Not trying to be funny just curious.

your greed will determine what you ask for it

if you want to know what they sell for just use google or go to gunbroker...its a hot market, people pay silly amounts for pythons as collelctibles, not as firearms to be used

I agree it looks like a 6" but the guy said it was an 8" I have not seen in person yet. I don't want to be greedy on the price he wants to trade it for and item I have for sale which is listed at $1900. I tried searching those 2 sites but did not fine one exactly it like to be sure of the price.

They don't make pythons anymore. Enough said.

                  6 inch barrel

I agree that the Python in question has a 6 inch barrel. I have attached a picture of my 6 inch Python for comparison.

I'd say the gun is worth from $1,200 to $1,400.

The pictures you posted don't really show the actual condition of that gun. The finish looks like it is either very dull, or there are massive quarantines of finger goo all over it.

It is missing the original grips and decent sets are going for upwards of $200 right now. Recent python prices have hit the stratosphere, but I don't see that as a $1900 gun. Maybe with the original box, papers and grips and a finish in 97% or better condition, but not as it sits.

You should clean it and if the finish is decent, I would offer him no more than $1500 tops. If he won't take it, walk away.

This is what it should look like when it is cleaned up:

That gun looks like hammered ***. Not anywhere near $1900, for me $900 would be a stretch.
