    Need advice on pistol selection

So, i'm trying to decide on a pistol to have for the next decade or so.
I want one pistol to function as both a "combat" pistol and a CCW pistol. Willing to make compromises here.

If that would be impossible, or a better way to approach this is to have two guns I'd be willing to have one for CCW and one for combat.

So, my criteria for a "combat" gun is..
6+ round minimum. 14 round maximum (I do not like carrying empty magazine space.. it bugs me.)
    At least 9mm ballistics.
    Reliability , durability.

    Criteria for a CCW...
    IWB or pocket size
    Prefer higher round count
    Prefer higher firepower
Prefer low presure rounds, ie 9's and 45's over 40's 10mm's.

I've looked at shield 9's, sig p238, p938, glock 42, glock 26, but im willing to use whatever is best. Willing to xfer off roster weapons. I perfer a gun with ten rounds stock or with extended mags. Reliability, comfort and durability are most important.

Well if you're not a LEO and live in California you are limited to maximum 10 round magazines anyways.

Glock 36 or 30sf. 6-10rd capacity of 45acp. The 36 would be the slimmest with 6rd capacity for maximum comfort and concealment but you can reload with a 10rd mag.

If you are considering a G26 and are limited to 10 rounds anyway, why not just go with a Glock 19?

The "one handgun to do it all" is the Glock 19/23

compact G19; my personal preference is Gen 2 G19
                      sub-compact G26

                      compact Sig Sauer P225 (8+1 9mm)

Next decade! wow, some here can not even go 30 days, haha.

The P320 is modular, takes the one that do all to a new level (kinda).
I am not recommending this (maybe yet) but just as a consideration as I have no range time yet, and there are no X-change kit available yet.

Out of the ordinary thinking -> Glock 26L

                          Just get two: G17 & G26.

The Springfield XD line is hard to beat.
The full size and tactical are great combat firearms.
Their are also compact models in the line for CCW.
