this is the one on the roster until the end of the year. of course once sse ends so does the availability of the gun. I cant find it anywhere either. I cant even find the new one the 01411. sad panda.

The current model 97b on the roster has been discontinued i believe. Thats what i keep hearing. If you can find one buy it. Also look into sseing the one off roster. It is the best .45 there is. But i also am not a fan of 1911's. I have shot them and do not find them a great fit. The 97b is by far the best non 1911 out there, the close second is an hk usp 45. Op get the 97b

Get a cz 97b, you wont be disappointed. By far one of my favorite handguns that i have owned or do own. Find one, buy it, and shoot it you will be happy

It took me two years to get one. I held one at my lgs years ago amd bought a used hk usp 45 instead. My friends talked me into it. I wish i would have bought the cz. I then tracked one down 2 hours away from me. Its the best .45 and i cant ever stop saying it lol.

I have a CZ75 B in 9mm and it's a great handgun. Great ergonomics and very accurate right out of the box. But in the interests of full disclosure there are downsides to CZ75 B ownership. First it's heavy for a 9mm and out of the box the trigger is heavy and good trigger jobs are expensive. That's not unusual for a SA/DA pistol but it's something to be aware of. Finding good "off the rack" holsters for the "B" that fit properly can also be a bit challenging. It's easy to find one for the P01 but a bit more challenging for the full sized "B". I've tried a few good quality name brand holsters and the fit was atrocious. I'm hoping to try out a Galco Combat Master (CM222b) soon but I hate to spend another $70 only to find that the fit is as bad as my Safariland. It's a really a nice pistol as long as you can live with these things.

In the CZ75 line, there are more models on the approved list for 9mm than there are for .40. Unless you are willing to to SSE (and better get a move on for that) it may be easier to find something in 9mm.

I can't say what a CZ feels like in .40, I run 9mm. I've got a 75 B and a 75 B SA. The S/A has less muzzle flip than the 75B, but that's due to the use of a .40 slide on the S/A model.

If this is just a range gun go for 9mm for the cheaper ammo (assuming you are not reloading the .40). If for self defense, go with what you believe will work the best for you.

Well after i was so disappointed by my sig p227 and so impressed by my cz75b it just made sense to stop resisting and drink the 97 kool aid.
