Love my Shield--It's almost a pocket pistol, but I can hit center mass pretty consistently at 25 yards rapid fire. I didn't really think I'd like a "plastic" striker fired pistol til I got the Shield. Now it's all I carry.

the baby glocks (26/27/etc) would fit in those dimensions, but they aren't the smallest.Comment

i have about 450 rounds thru my p938 extreme. with the flush 6 round mags, i too have my pinkie dangling carefree. with the 7 rounders, i have enough space to get a full grip.
my grip with the p938 is different from my full size guns, but the results are the same. it is accurate for me, keeping a full magazine, unsupported and slow rate of fire, inside of a 5.5" caldwell orange peel target at 20-25 yds (or whatever the furthest distance is at most indoor ranges). nearly as good as my xd's, cz's, and 1911's. trigger got noticeably lighter at around the 250 round mark. the break has been crisp since day one.
i have run cci blazer brass, remington UMC, federal bulk, freedom munitions reloads, and bulletman reloads thru her, and not a single hiccup. i've only fed a couple of magazines of remington golden saber hollowpoints, but they also ran flawlessly, despite the fact they were at the end of one of my sessions (very dirty).
i've read that the p938 sights were designed for a point of aim sight picture, but mine runs at a 6 o'clock hold, which is perfect since my other pistols are the same. recoil is fantastic for such a small gun. overall, im so pleased that i bought another one for the wifey. if she cant shoot it, then i'll be dual wielding.

Kimber Solo.Is there any semiauto handgun out there that meets the following entirely subjective requirements?
Barrel length of no more than 3.5", height no more than 4.25", at widest point no more than 1.25" and weighing no more than 26 oz (unloaded) in 9, 40 or 45 ACP and with a manual safety.
I've had a LTC/CCW for most of my life (unfortunately not CA) & have progresively gone from larger to smaller guns. I've settled on the above as pretty much what I'd look at as the ideal, and I know some manufacturers hit some of the points but none that I know of hit all. I have a Colt Defender, fine on weight and other requirements - but it's too tall. The Detonics I have are fine on height, but too heavy.
I'm flexible on action type - DA or SA only, DA & SA, etc.Comment
