What's it like owning a handgun in San Francisco?

Agree with all of this, but you forgot one very important item on your list - San Francisco is where the money and jobs are. At least for certain industries that are making a lot of money right now, it's the place to be.
The food (yes, it really is better here), the weather, the music, the theatre, the scenery, just to start.
Owning a handgun in SF is not really any different than elsewhere in the Bay Area.
The "dangerous ammo" ban is poorly worded and vague, and no one has been arrested for it, to my knowledge. The "high cap" ban is still being fought by the NRA, to my knowledge, but no ine has been arrested fir it that I know either.
Just mind your p's and q's, especially about transport, since there are school zones everywhere. Oh, and never leave ANYTHING in your car. Smash and grabs are common everywhere.

I have a perfect Burning Man attendance record: zero.
You do know there are more guns in the country than there are in the city.
Everyone and their mums is packin' round here!
Like who?

I've been in many places in the world and SF is one of the most beautiful cities there are. About guns I have no idea, never lived there. I visit any chance I get, and would continue to do so. Never care for their politicians but what can we do? right?Comment

There is no ban but most businesses choose not to send here anymore. There is a restriction on purchasing over 500 rounds at a time, such a purchase needs a copy of your driver's license (I think also a finger print if I remember correctly) and the seller is required to notify the police department.
When I buy bulk it is usually a the gun show now and I just do the DL copy and finger print right there, takes 2 minutes. The big ammo companies that go to Crossroads are all set up for it.Comment

All subjective. Depends on where you look, take a look at LA/LV, has so much slime but many only know it is the busy beautiful wonderful cities. Some people only see that because they only spots they visit are the nice parts. But some may see the entire city and more of the dark places of the "Beautiful" cities. Same as Brazil/HI and every other magical destination. All will have their filth. Just depends on how you see/look at it.Comment

Main reasons I live here...the cool weather and no fat chicks. I had to go down to San Mateo last weekend and HOLLY CARP it was 85 degrees and the ladies were so fricking fat! Sure, my property tax might be $10K per year, but it's worth it to not be surrounded by sweaty fat people.
I still buy ammo online too.__________________

Yeah the Asian chicks aren't fat but the other ethnicities are. To be honest i don't pay attention to Asian women because they don't appeal to me. And as far as that list goes when compared to the deep fried south not as many morbidly obese but were a fat country as a whole. I'm fat mealsJust a libertarian guy in a Leftist Authoritarian state.
