Paying 150 over retail not a big deal to lock it down?

If it's $150 over retail and I have to still have to pay SSE and other fees then, for me personally it is. One of the appeals of the VP9 (besides being a new gun) is the price. If I'm going to pay that much I'd get an HK45. I'm going to anyways but that's beside the point

Crazy to believe some places charging $700 basic model VP. Plus want extra $25-40 for SSE

I went through audiophil2 and my VP9 is at EBR Works for SSE. I am picking up my HK45 tomorrow, then starting the paperwork for the VP9 while I'm there.

I would highly recommend audiophil2 as his price is not $150 over retail, and he is a standup guy.

I agree with you guys, but unfortunately it's the rules of the game. Supply and demand. If there's anything I learned it's that you can't sleep on California gun laws, or you'll be paying a premium.

Anyway, back to the convo... do you guys mind sharing the LA/OC FFL's that will do VP9 SSE conversions or are selling SSE'd VP9's?

I gladly paid AudioPhil $650 to lock down my VP9 which I will be DROSing on 10/4. My OTD price might be $50 more than the lowest price I've seen people post but in the big picture $50 is nothing to get the gun I want. I would hate to lose out on the VP9 at the end of the year because of $50 or $100.

Yeah, I noticed my OTD price was going to be $50-100 more than others, but who cares? Time's running out, break open them piggy banks!

That's who I got mine through as well, but his price was reasonable, not 150 over MSRP. I started my paperwork Sunday. Now for what seems to be the long wait

Mike at OC Armory www.ocarmory.com will SSE it for $125 out the door which includes the $25 DROS. I've done plenty of SSE's with Mike. I have a VP9 & a 2nd PPQ (currently CCWing a PPQ) waiting with him to be DROS'd, damn 1 in 30. Although this 30 days is ok to wait, since I just got my Sphinx out of jail with him.

Granted OC Armory is $20 more than OC Firearms, but I don't mind paying Mike that, he takes great care of you.

Get your VP9 from Audiophil2, that's where I got mine. Great communications, takes care of us in CA, and will block the mags for you.

OC Armory won't block 15 round mags, so you'll have to have the seller block them before they receive it.

+1 on Oc Armory. Mike is very knowledgable and a great asset to the Oc firearms community. He hooked me up with my Ma Duce M2HB last year as well as my non LCI SiG P226mk25's.

W all want to be paid what we are worth in our own jobs /professions and your LGS is no different. Nothing worse that a great store what provides great service, working for almost free and then going out of businesses on you. Mike and OC Armory are worth the extra $20 on an SSE for smooth easy and errorless transactions. Everybody needs to make a fair profit for their time and effort. I personally NEVER want anyone working for free or loosing money when doing business with me.

Truth....same reason I hate it when people eat out but don't tip well for good service. For me it's always 20% tip unless service was horrible.

Despite being closed on Mondays, I got a call from Joe (mikes dad, its a family business with brother Patrick there too) yesterday to let me know that two more of my VP9's had come in. My SSE dance card is all full now.
