I would love to get one from Audiophil since I've purchased from him in the past, however every SSE/FFL I called in the San Fernando Valley said they don't know if they can SSE the VP9.

For mrwilson, I requested if mags could be exchanged to 10 rounders(saving time/money from blocking) or blocked from KGC. They responded and said Yes plus 9dollars and later on Eric responded and said No , PLUS handgun must be on DoJ list. Confusion or Salespersons on the wrong page. Contacted TRAP , they block for 10 bux.

Qn: the 1 in 30days rule, what if you have two new handguns coming into FFL within a week of each other ? What to do ? Contact one of the sending FFL and delay shipment? Or does the receiving FFL hold onto it for the required elapsed days until you can pickup.....thus possibly charging you " storage fee". Does TRAP charge extra for said "storage"? Thanks all.

Is there anyone in SD that can SSE this?

I am not talking about sourcing the pistol, but actually has the barrel in stock to SSE it.

Parallax and DAS have given me the run around on this... and this is after SSEing a couple guns through each of em in the past...

I asked the same question a page or 2 back.

Addax can do it. They're supposed to have some coming in within the next couple of months hopefully. I didn't hear back from PD if they could SSE the VP9. EBR can also SSE it but they are in the conejo valley which isn't really that far. There's two FFLs in Simi who can SSE it but their fees are $150 or so.

I've been bothering them everyday about it, their prices are very good as well for the NS one.

You need to find a shop that uses the barrel inserts. I do not believe that Parallax or DAS use barrel inserts. Fairly certain they use actual barrels that are extended.

You might call Honey Badger Firearms and Empowered Firearms. Both those shops use barrel inserts so they should be able to do your SSE.

Good to hear Gunfighter Tactical can do it!

                        Thanks for the info!

Didn't know about the barrel inserts, that is interesting.

Jeff at Parallax told me they don't have the full barrel and therefore would not be able to SSE the gun or do so in the near future. But I did read on here that someone convinced Parallax to find one for them.... who knows.

It depends on the destination FFL's policy. Your using TRAP so you should have both firearms shipped. When they are received by TRAP you will need to go in, pay for the fees that are due, and fill out your DROS. They will then ask you which date you want the DROS filed for each gun and they will add it to their schedule/calendar. They will then file the DROS for you as scheduled. At that time, they usually call you to confirm the pick-up date.

Thus far, I do not believe TRAP has charged people storage fees but I wonder if that will change over the next few months as SSE ramps up and they start having to store peoples handguns for a month, or 2, or 3.

If available, it might be best to use a lay-away plan with the seller so you can secure the gun you want but control the ship date so the CA FFL is not forced to store a bunch of handguns. That is the approach I am taking, or at least, trying to take.

Why not call TRAP and ask?

                              +1

I did not have to do layaway, the selling FFL is willing to hold the gun for 30 days
"While it may come as a surprise to the authors of the legislation, most semi-automatic pistols do in fact come with a pistol grip"
Malthusianism is the idea that population growth is potentially exponential while the growth of the food supply is arithmetical at best.
