The seller is Island View, who I think does do SSE. But, you're gonna have to go DROS it in person, or have it shipped to another FFL who does SSE.

    Expect additional SSE fees

Give them a call - most CA dealers are very CA friendly. I haven't worked with these guys yet, but just say that you asked some questions about SSE on Calguns and it was recommended that you give them a call to make sure the transaction can be completed without drama.

I've bought a ton of things on Gunbroker that turned into a mess when the seller got cold feet about delivering to CA. Those were all out of state vendors, though, and they didn't know the CA laws - so they wanted to err on the side of CYA. In every case, I was able to talk through the transaction with them and it worked out fine.

Since you still have seven days left on that auction, just drop them a line and if for some reason they aren't willing to do the deal, I'm sure they'll work with you on all the bidding rules around retractions. There's plenty of time for the deal to go through with another bidder.

One thing to keep in mind - if they do SSE the gun for you, expect to add about $100 to the price to cover the process. If they present you with that option, keep in mind that it's a fair price and is rather customary.

The first thing you should do is contact the seller to see what your options are. Ultimately it's the seller you have to work with and whether or not they are going to deal with silly CA gun regulations. Good luck but push comes to shove they may just let you off the hook

@ $405 with 7+ more days left I really don't think you are at risk of winning this auction with your current bid.

With that said DO NOT KEEP BIDDING until you have contacted the seller and made arrangements with them!

If you win an auction you can't pay for, your account may be suspended or closed...

            I would pass on that.

Ultimately I think the extra cost is worth it to me, as I really dig the Fde look on this pistol.

              I appreciate the feedback!!

Another question, is the process to reverse the SSE relatively straight forward? Im definitely a novice at gun maintenance and ownership in general, so any tips here would be appreciated as well.

For the most part yes. The process depends on how the SSE was done.

Where ever you get the SSE done should be willing to reverse the process so that they can get their SSE kit back and get it ready to use on the next gun in line.
              Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

$405 FDE? Nice grab. was my first handgun back in '11. Very underated gun. I liked it better than my G19.
