Laser Devices used to make a Las/Tac which offered a laser/light interchangeably utalizing the same housing that was pretty affordable and high quality.

Also, replacing parts with lighter weight ones make for a better cast and smother retrieve, is this kinda what he will do?
      Here is the page http://triggerwork.net/usp.html

reduced the trigger pull on S/A, smoothed it out. Put in a set screw to eliminate overtravel and reduced the reset. Also went with the accuratization package as well (but I'm already the least accurate link in HK pistol)

Just saying it's worth a look. They have others as well that the OP may prefer instead.

I am soooo confused. I feel like I should wait and get surefire....But then they are so expensive. and I like the TLR-1 HL but is it really reliable? Laser Devices are way out of my budget atm.

Too Expensive? To put on a $1,000 handgun?

I honestly think that to charge 200+ dollars on a 5nm laser is rediculous because that laser cost about $5. I could buy a laser that would go 100 times farther, burn my target and have the same battery/durability for $150; I could then mount it myself and save hundreds.

Really just looking for a Light, and lights now days I think are dime a dozen. I just don't want to over pay 400% for a light too.

If it's just a light the Streamlight will be fine.

When it comes to lasers, sure there are a ton under the $200 mark and the diodes are not that bad, but when you buy a high end system you are paying for the engineering, reliability and most importantly the ability to hold zero.

thanks HKRick, yeah I think there is more to the laser systems than what i was aware of. Just doesn't seem like they should cost that much. But like you said the ability to hold zero and dependability is key in a tactical scenario. I guess I would pay the price if i could afford the surefire systems, but I just don't have that money atm; and yes I did buy a $1,100 handgun which HK's are a little over priced, but then again they are the most reliable handgun in the world.

You cannot go wrong with either a Streamlight or Surefire. It comes down to personal preference and what you like best.

I had Bill Springfield do my USP45 and it is absolutely amazing. Everyone I allow to demo is amazed. It is comparable to 1911 trigger...not kidding. Bill is a real gent, very easy to deal with, great comms and Fast turnaround time. Highly recommend. HK45 coming and will be sending it immediately to Bill.

I'd have to disagree with that. Bill has worked on a number of items for me and it's all done professionally and flawlessly.

They are of little to no use in most tactical situations or competitions.

Man, seems like so many people saying what to get and they probably don't even have the light - just off the kool aid factor.

I have both the X300 Ultra and TLR-1 HL. I personally like the X300 more since the light output has a brighter and better looking hotspot and spill over the TLR. Don't get me wrong, the TLR is still a great light and I would use it to save my life. But when you have both side by side, you can notice a difference in the light output and color (X300 has a more natural white color, while the TLR next to it is more cool blue looking). I do like that the TLR is shorter and the momentary activation is easier to use IMO. However, I use a DG switch on the X300 and my TLR-1 HL now stays on AR.

Point being, if you can save up for the Surefire, then do so as it's a great light. Otherwise, the TLR-1 HL is more than adequate for your needs and it won't fail on you.

Right.... but since you're calling me out and demanding for pictures, I'll post up these here

I won't post any of them on my guns since I don't own any HK's, so it's pointless to show that to the OP. I will post them on my VP9 when I go to DROS it next week. I'll just take both lights with me and mount them for some quick pics.

As already stated, my comments above show below what I was talking about. OP, get whatever you want but here are some comparison pics for you on the X300 Ultra and TLR-1 HL
