    Laser/Light Help for HK45!

I need some help in choosing a Laser/light system for my soon to come hk45. I have no clue about which systems are good or who makes decent lights. I don't have much money to spend on the light/laser, but I still want something reasonable and good quality. I would say my range is 120-160...should I even buy a laser/light in this range or save up for something of better quality? I have never bought a laser or light for any of my firearms. please help

I was thinking Streamlight TLR-4 or Viridian C5L-r

Any and all recommendations are appreciated

Best light? Surefire. Can't go wrong. Laser? Waste of money. They are of little to no use in most tactical situations or competitions. NO serious competitor uses them. Why? if you are focusing on the jumping dot, you are not watching the target (or the next one). Now, having said that, they have limited uses for new shooters to see how their trigger pull etc. affects the bullet placement. But in general, they really don't help much. Just learn to shoot the gun better through practice. BTW HK45 is my comp gun and an absolutely fantastic pistol. Get the trigger work done by Bill Springfield in CO, and it will be even better.

How much did he charge you for the trigger work? what does he do exactly? I hear every one talk about trigger work and can't imagine how much there is to change in there. I have worked on fishing reels (Penn 500 JigMaster) and know that there are parts not needed and I have smoothed out stamped internals. Also, replacing parts with lighter weight ones make for a better cast and smother retrieve, is this kinda what he will do?

I actually like that light. It is also affordable. I was looking at the Surefire x300, MAN are they nice but EXPENSIVE. Thanks for the recommendation HopetonBrown.

My go to weapon-mounted lights have always been Surefire. The X300 and X300 Ultra have always served me well.

A more economical option would be Streamlight. The TLR-1 line has always seemed like a great value.

On a side note, I believe HK is offering a free TLR-3 with the purchase of a new HK (except the Mark 23 and VP9). So depending on when you bought your HK 45, you may already have a light to try out.

Laser Devices makes the best Laser/Light combo's and they work closely with HK during development. They are pricey, but if you own an HK you have already proved you are willing to pay for exceptional quality.

                Streamlight TLR-2 or Surefire X400.

The Streamlight TLR-1 fits and works wonderfully on my HK45. It definitely falls within OP's budget.

I've beat the crap out of my Streamlight TLR-1 on my XD-9. NO issues. For around $100.00, you can't beat the price or the quality.

Surefire's are nice, but Streamlights are better, IMO. Better balance of price, output and durability.

We can get you into a TLR-4 for $114.27, or a TLR-1 HL for $121.93. Often overlooked on internet forums when discussing the tactical utility of lasers is that they're better than just about anything else when it comes to teasing the cat. The TLR-1 HL pumps out 630 lumens to really light up the night.
