I used to have the SR9 and SR9c. Sort of chunky and clunky compared to the G19. I tried them and sold them. Someday I'll learn to rent instead of buy to try!

I compared the specs of the 9E and SR9 on Ruger's website, and the slide finish on the 9E is Black Oxide, whereas the slide finish on the SR9 is Black Nitride. I don't know if the different slide finish of the 9E also contributes to its lower price than the SR9. I also don't know whether or not the Black Oxide finish will hold up just as well as the Black Nitride finish.

The "NEW" weighs about an ounce more. Same as the SR9 but some minor changes.

Yes chunky and clunky, that's how they feel to me. Handle both and come to your own conclusion.

Looks like an SR9 without the stupid LCI or magazine disconnect.
