It may help if you let us know what you're looking for specifically. Some shops are better for certain things than others.

I also gathered from your first post that your up around Burbank. I realize this would be a bit of a drive, but Direct Action Solutions (DAS) in Solana Beach (North San Diego) is a great shop and does a lot of SSE work. Parallax Tactical is another great shop down here that also does a lot of SSE but they're a little farther south than DAS.

Good luck. Finding a good LGS can be really hard. San Diego had a pretty crappy selection until these guys opened.

      Hi L84CABO,

Right now I have been waffling between a new wheel gun, .357 or 44mag - but I didn't want to limit myself to just this in the original question as often I have found when heading to a local shop for something specific I come across something else that is a great deal and something I have been eyeing - just wasn't my original intent for the visit.

As example, was in the market for a M&P a while back and visited local shop to find an original Belgium Auto 5 20g in great shape for $300.

The used gun market is fickle, but every once in a while you stumble across something great - which is why I am always up for a drive to a great shop.

Thanks for the advice on DAS - will have to check them out as Parallax was on my list as well!
