    Where do you purchase from?

    Hi All,

Anyone have good recommendations for where they purchase from?

To date, I have been patronizing local LGS's but the selection and cost is becoming a deterrent.

For online - is the process as simple as finding a store outside CA and giving them my FFL's contact info?

For local LGS's in SoCal that sell used, anyone have any good recommendations?

Getting tired of Turners. Martin B. Retting does a good job, but used stock is dwindling and prices are not always reflective of what "I" consider true value.

Don't even get me started on Gun World in Burbank - what a joke!

Open to driving to find a good store.

    Best,

    CnB

Retting is a joke and can be easily beat by shopping online.

What are you looking for specifically? Riflegear is pretty good on pricing as is EBR works, both especially if you are looking for SSE items.

I find the going to a home based FFL if u can find one in your area was good I trader ratings and Yelp ratings, is the best solution.
it would be best of course if they were a vendor here as well.

          Here's the list of FFLs.

Download the CA one. Find some local to you. Check them out on the BBB and Yelp.

Fortunately, I have quite a few around me. Riflegear, OC Fireams, Turners to name a few. (I've bought from all of them).

If I find a good deal on GunBroker.com I will buy through there and have it sent to Parallax Tactical. If I need to SSE a gun I will have it sent to OC Armory in Laguna Hills and drive up there.

I agree with using Gallery of Guns if possible, but my recent experience is that many guns are not available through them in CA. I tried to get a CZ 75BD but none were available for CA. Ended up going to Fowlers Gun Room. Had a very good experience. Salesman's name is Roger and they had one CZ 75 in 9mm - five others were .40 cal and the one 9mm they had was the BD - what I wanted. Price was $599. When I looked at buying on-line it was not much more expensive once you factor in shipping and fees - taxes have to be paid regardless. If it's close, I go with the LGS. Anyway, I liked the shop and the salespeople and would go back there for another gun.

Thanks all! Lot of good options! Sounds like I have a fun weekend of driving ahead of me

Any suggestions on the internet? With all the stories I have read regarding people not willing to ship to CA - dealing with SSE and shops not knowing the laws - I have been putting off looking online.

If you have any good online resources - open to that as well!
