    The best compact 45acp in a 9mm.
California's politicians and unionized government employees are a crime gang that makes the Mexican drug cartels look like a Girl Scout Troop in comparison.

Are you in a county that doesn't let you put SSE?

Never mind I just reread your post.
      Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

How compact are we talking? Some of the suggestions (i.e. the Colt Commander/Kimber Pro) are as large as your average duty gun.

Other than that, you really don't have many options if it's roster only - especially since most rostered compacts come in 9/40 vs 45.

Man up and get the G30

JK. ADH recommended the Sig 220 Carry. Great gun. If you can find a compact 220 they are also phenomenal

Not just because I have one, but yes ... everyone seems to forget about the 36.

                Mine has a Fulcrum trigger, a Bar-Sto 4.8 inch barrel and a 23lb RSA for 45Supers.

What happens when the gun you buy falls off the roster?

If you already have the XDS 45, why not another one to keep consistent manual of arms?

It's ok as long as you purchased it before it drops off.

If you've got the XDS 45 then just get the XD 45 compact. Bit wider but holds more rounds, and on-roster.

+1 for HK USP45c. I have 9mm version and love it. Will feed anything put through it and love the ability to go DA/SA or cocked and locked 1911 style.Bought mine used and believe previous owner must have upgraded trigger cause it is smooth as butter in SA.
