I did a search and actually found a couple of small posts but nothing really definitive. I would like to know how people who own Barsto Barrels feel about them. I am thinking about putting the Barsto Match Barrel into my Glock 21 and into my Glock 20, and I think if I do it I may have them fit it for me. I know it will cost extra but that's what I am thinking right now. I am not going to convert calibers or anything like that. I'll keep it 45 acp for the Glock 21 and 10mm for the Glock 20. Has anyone had any experience with Barsto Barrels?

Don't know about glocks but in a 1911 you can't go wrong
Sent from my DROID RAZR HD using TapatalkYes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I'm thinking about one as well, a fitted barrel from them is capable of 1.5" or better at 25 yards with good ammo and a good shooter. My opinions are my own and do not represent the position of other companies I may be involved with.Comment

I have Barstow on a old Glock 17 and a BHP. Had one on a Colt .45ACP that Irv made that was extra long.
They run fine. I just don't think they are any better than a KKM barrel on a Glock.
I have KKM, LoneWolf and StormLake on my Glock 29s and Glock 20. They all are about the same quality. Barstows cost more, not sure if they are worth the extra money.
In 10MM all these barrels are accurate, even the factory barrel. The idea of an aftermarket barrel is running really hot ammo and the case support is better. (At the 6 o'clock position).
Other reasons are if you shoot much lead, the rifled aftermarket barrel doesn't lead up. So running lead reloads is the reason, but not many people reload lead in 10MM. Also the offerings from Underwood and Double Tap that are lead, wide nose hunting bullets are ok to shoot in Glock Barrels because the Brinnel hardness is above 16.
The last reason for running an aftermarket barrel is extra length translates to higher speed and more foot pounds of energy. This makes hot ammo faster and better for hunting PIGs and Wild Bore (dang spell check)........
Keep in mind that most aftermarket barrels are about .007 tighter than the factory Glock barrel. So if you're shooting hot loads out of a Glock barrel, you must resize Full Length when reloading or the ammo won't chamber in the aftermarket barrel.nn

Cool!!!
Thanks fellas! I really appreciate all of the responses. I want the barrels for a little increased accuracy and to use lead bullets for reloads. My Glock 21 shoots just fine and is accurate enough for my abilities with what ever ammo I use, but my Glock 20 shoots high and left when I use Double Tap ammo and that is the main reason I wanted to get another barrel. I want to see if it will fix that. I went ahead and ordered a Barsto match target barrel for the Glock 20, and I may try a KKM barrel for my Glock 21 just to have something to compare the two. Thanks again.Comment

Wilson Combat Barrel
Update: I typed in "KKM" barrel for Glock 21 and it led me to a Midway page, but although they had other Glock 21 barrels they didn't have a KKM. They had Lone Wolf, Storm Lake, and Wilson Combat. Well I decided to get the Wilson Combat barrel for my Glock 21SF. They have such a nice reputation for both quality and customer service, so I figured I couldn't go wrong with it.Comment

I used a Barsto barrel in my first custom 1911 build. I've been very happy with it, and will continue to use their barrels in future builds. If you build a man a fire, you'll keep him warm for the evening. If you set a man on fire, you'll keep him warm for the rest of his life.Comment
