None of that bothers me. It is what it is and if you dont like it, walk. Flakes piss me off though. Im only 23 but I have more common sense and respect than half the dip ****s I deal with on here.

Lot of sellers in this thread defending themselves.

I've bought and sold on Calguns a lot and do well on craigslist too. My thinking is price is always negotiable, some know how to haggle and others dont. If you're patient a deal will present itself. I was looking for a Mark III 22/45 with replaceable grips. They come up used all day for $350-$400. Found a shop locally has them new for $399 out the door dros and tax included. Too often sellers dont want to lose any $$ in the sale which being a seller from time to time I get BUT if you bought it new, put 50 rds through it, it's not new so stop asking bnib in box prices.

That said I listed a 1911 SA loaded 45 for $850 and got so many $600 offers I couldnt believe it. Patience wins the game.

Easy solution: whoever PAYS me first gets it.

I've sold a few things in the exchange, I just don't like the arrogance some sellers present when they set up their ads. I have no issue with whatever price someone puts out there. If it's too high it won't sell. Don't like the price? Ignore and move on. I see whining babies complaining about the price....free market. Buy or don't buy.

"rare" - if someone has to tell me how rare something is, my immediate assumption is they think it's rare (whether true or not) and by informing so, it justifies the over priced listing.

"final price drop" - this one always gets me. Ummm, the reason your gun is not selling probably has something to do with how you've over priced it. Just like real estate, the market is what the market is and will sell for what the market will bear (save some deep pocket collector willing to pay any price). The funniest part, to me, about "final price drop" is I see it as just the current price and anything/everything is negotiable. If the prices is too high, even at "final drop", it just wont' sell.

"back to the safe" - I usually see this with some sort of time box like "if it doesn't sell this weekend, back to the safe". Okay. So where is it now? Probably in the safe. I call this threat selling. The only problem is the "threat" of putting is back in the safe (LOL, where it currently is) doesn't actually harm anyone or actually motivate one to purchase. So it's a false threat. Very similar to final price drop. Take it now or else....

It's the little things in life that make me laugh.
Syntax aside, my pet peeve is HIGH PRICED guns with crappy cel phone pics. I've noticed guns with high quality pics usually get props and free bumps.

I have used the term, "rare." But when I used it, it was true. Some of the guns I've listed using the word, "rare" were:
                  Colt Python .38 Target 8"
Colt 1911 Mk III 38 Wadcutter only
Colt 1911 Combat Government with factory 9mm conversion unit (these predated the later Special Combat Govt. models)
                  Colt 1911 Elite IX
                  Colt 1911 Elite Ten/Forty
                  Colt 1911 101st Airborne Commemorative.
The trend you'll notice is that they were all Colts. Colt was known for making limited production runs of special guns. To this day, I have only seen 1 other of these mentioned guns selling here, an Elite IX.
So when I use the word rare I mean it.
                  Ryan
                  The following statement is true.
                  The preceding statement was false.

It's amazing how many people think they can sell a used firearm 10-25% over what it would cost new from an FFL.

I hate it when they feel the self important need to let you know they sent a PM "PM SENT" like there isn't a automatic prompt.

I think all my sales have been fair.

I feel my I trader reflects that.

I post "offer sent" (which is allowed under the FS forum rules, "PM sent" is not) to give the seller's ad a free bump (they can still bump their ad within 24 hours of when they last posted) in the event we don't make a deal.
You will never, in your life, have a chance like this again.
