I live back and forth between the east bay and tahoe, but more so in Tahoe right now. I should be in the east bay in a couple weeks though; I'll try to hit you up. I've got some toys too

I like soft shooting 45's, ive been shooting snappy little compact 9mms recently and it's not floating my boat.

I would shoot .45s over 9mms if they didn't cost 100 bucks more per 1000. I don't reload and trying to save my brass when they eject to the lane next to mine makes it hard to save.

Had one for a month... Was loose butt hole. Sold it and got a 19. Way too big.... Sold the 19 too actually. It was better than the 21 though.

                Couple q's:

Does it eat up Tula steel cased ammo? I am cheap.

Is it worth SSE'ing a gen4? Is there much difference? Again, I am cheap.

                Thanks!

I have a Gen 3 G21SF that I just had Truglo TFOs put on. I love it. It's my duty gun. I'm becoming a Glockaholic. I have a 30SF also and I'm shopping a G19. I love em. Buy extra mags at 44mag.com.

i have a 21 it came with 13 rounders but it works fine sometimes its extra wide triggerguard torques my finger with recoil if i am not careful

i like it the simplicity makes it good

also have one of the old steel baby eagles its nice 10 rounds is all it holds and the grip is nice long double action pull though

so many spiffy 45s that are not 1911s

i like shooting my friends xd better it feels more solid but i got to stick with the devil i know

the beretta 8045 is cool but it only holds 8 in its semi double stack mag

the old ruger p90 was great too

Meh, I have a 21c. Thing's like a cinder block for me. Got small hands though. Shot it once and it hasn't been out of the safe since. Not one of my stellar displays of intelligence.

I was thinking about buying a G21 so I rented one last week. It was disappointing (and I own Glocks!). I think the disappointment came from the fact that I rented a Kimber Custom 1911 immediately before the G21sf, and it was awesome-extremely accurate! Maybe I will try it again when I go back to the range, maybe.

The G21 is very accurate once you really get used to the grip and of course the Glock trigger.

The kicker with the G21 is if the grip doesn't fit your hand, its not the gun for you. Give a XD or M&P 45 a try instead.

It's hard to compare a custom / semi custom 1911 to a glock. Will a nice 1911 shoot more accurately? Probably, but drop both guns into sand or gravel, feed it the cheapest ammo on the shelf and see which is still working.

If you are after a static "bench rest" gun, and you can afford it, go for a nice 1911, if you want a gun that will work always, no matter what, get the Glock.
