    Glock21?

I am taking a long look at the g21... someone sell me on it!

Seems like a nice California compromise; 10 rounds of 45 in a full size frame... I hate neutered mags.

    Couple q's:

Does it eat up Tula steel cased ammo? I am cheap.

Is it worth SSE'ing a gen4? Is there much difference? Again, I am cheap.

    Thanks!

Best all purpose pistol on the market IMO.

It will eat any ammo you put in it, it doesn't care.

So e people say the gen 4 fits their hand better, if you can find someplace that has both a gen 3 and 4, see how they fit in your hand. IMO the 4 isn't worth the extra cost, but then again the gen 3 fits my hand great anyways.

The G21 goes bang every time. Recoil is very manageable.

If the Gen 3 G21 fits you well, I don't see why not. Maybe the G21 SF will be a better fit because of a slightly slimmer frame. Give it a try.

The Gen 4 has a grip size similar to a G21 SF's and offers dual recoil spring, which is supposedly better for recoil management. I've never shot one but owned a G21 SF.

If I were to SSE a Glock in .45 ACP, it would be the G41 instead of the G21.

      Good luck!

My gen4 made me a glock fanboy by about the third mag. I love it.
I carried a .40 Sig 226 for 12 years on duty. I shot thousands and thousands of rounds out of the sig and shoot the 21 faster and more accurately.
I had only shot early generation glocks prior, and was not looking forward to giving up my sig. I have since bought a 21 and a 30s a week apart and decided to not buy back my sig.

I have (ready for this?) a gen 1 21. Love that gun. Shot lead reloads through it, white box Win, and all kinds of other stuff with never a problem.

That's one thing good about Glocks, they'll eat up damn near any FMJ you'll put in it. I've heard of some having issues with JHP but only since they had old followers in their mags. It's a great handgun, grab it and you won't regret it.

I see no reason to get a Gen 4 unless you have small hands or are a lefty. These will eat Tula garbage all day long. Where are you located? You can shoot mine if you are willing to come out to USI in Concord. Sammy

I have all three. Probably the best all purpose .45 in the world.

Get the Gen 4 for the better grip, better grip texture, larger mag button and they come with 3 magazines standard.

I just put some http://www.speedsights.com on my new Gen 4 G 21 and I am happy.

21 non sf is being phased out. Turners has a few on closeout.

I have a G21SF and love that gun. It will cycle anything. I put a 22lb ISMI spring in it when I want to run 45 Super.

I do think the Gen 4 ergonomics are better, I prefer the Gen 4 over the Gen 3, but I certainly wouldn't sell my G21SF just to upgrade.

You likely won't regret it, regardless of Gen 3 or Gen 4.

I've shot hundreds of rounds of Tula steel case ammo through my G21 without a single issue. In fact, I've never had a issue of any kind with any ammo with my G21.

If it fits your hand and you don't mind the "ugly looks" the G21 is hard to beat for a full size polymer framed .45.

I have a gen 3 G21SF, and it's a great gun. Very soft shooter, and quick follow up shots are easy with this gun. One of my favorites.
