Help me identify this S&W

Looks like a well worn Blued Model 19, 2.5" barrel, bobbed hammer, & a round butt with combat grips. Sweet pistol. Lots of character.

Since it was previously an LEO's pistol, I bet the double action still works and only had the hammer bobbed. Usually bobbed to prevent snagging on the pocket while drawing as they were commonly used for a pocket back-up gun to compliment the primary weapon that was also a M19.

I used to have a stainless version (Model 66) that an LEO did just that. Sorry I sold it since it was a 3" & I didn't know how desirable they were... then and now. Bought a M65 that was a custom job by Maraviov but had to sell that one also... even before I had shot it. I hear the new owner really enjoys it.

Nice M-19 , If you shoot 357 mag use the 158 GR , The 125 GR might be hard on that gun . Even with the 2.5 you will be accurate . back in the 90s I could get a hammer at The Great Western show for 15.00 , Those were the days.
