Springfield Loaded + case ?

The factory boxes go into the closet. The foam is hydroscopic and who wants that around for long term gun storage. I have a Loaded in 9mm, can't recall if the case is blue or grey. It's in the closet.

You can buy more mags for $12!!! Buy the limit (10?). Your gun will be happy.

Aside from that, the Loaded I bought two years ago came I the nice grey box. I'm tempted to buy the foam insert from Springfield. I want to turn it into a case that will hold two 1911's.

Right now, the box just sits under my dresser. My gun is in my quick access safe.

I believe you would need a Springfield serial number as well on the back of the form.
I still have a few coupons...maybe i should use them someday.

A little off topic but I run 13 SA and 1 Kimber mags interchangeably in my Loaded and Kimber Custom TLE II without any problems. Wilson makes fine mags but they are by no means required.

The SA mags are great! They run in my SA and they are about 1/3 of the price of a Wilson Combat 47D or Chip McCormick Power Mag.

Even at that, some pistols just don't like a particular mag. With the Loaded, you can pretty much rest assured that it will run the SA mags. If not, SA will take care of it for you. They have legendary Customer Service.

You don't NEED Wilson Combat mags. They DO run nicely in many 1911's. Some have issues. Some people will only use Wilson mags. Another thing to keep in mind is that Wilson also has 2 other types of 1911 mags that fit the Government 1911's. The new ETM mag-which has a longer mag body and is easier to seat when full. And there's the even newer ETM HD+ mag which has springs that aren't supposed to wear out...ever! They're the top notch mags out there at the moment and priced accordingly. If you have the dough, spring for a few and see how you like them. But, I would certainly take advantage of the Loaded coupon and get as many mags as you can. 1911 mags are consumables. If they start giving you problems, get rid of them.

Which leads me to another topic. Use a sharpie or a white out pen and number all of your mags. This way, if you have feeding issues on any particular mag, you can keep track. Or, if it isn't following a particular mag, you will know.

Most of all, buy ammo. Right now, Freedom Munitions is having a Memorial Day Weekend sale-Free Shipping! Get a few thousand rounds of 45 acp and practice/train. The best mags in the world don't mean squat unless you can hit your target! (I know...I've been embarrassed with my targets MANY times!).

Personally, when i got my loaded i bout some of the mags, 7 and 10 rounders, and they are terrible. Had to buy new spring for them and they still are suspect. YMMV
The best deal is line one- the adjustable sight for $34. If you reload or run a single stack it is a great sight which is all black, no dots. Combine it with a warren tac FO front and its ready to rock.

I highly recommend the Wilson Combat spring and follower as needed or tripp re-build.

I have no idea why they still make metal follower that is old and inferior design (man I am going to get it from the 1911 purist).

Almost all modern magazine run polymer followers.
Wilson's are polymer, as is Tripp's hybrid follower. So, which two magazines gets the most praise with the least issues.
Really I mainly look for the anti-tilt design in the follower, has been good for me on many 1911 brands with my factory Springfield magazines.

The best magazines for your Springfield are from Springfield. I bought an additional two 7-rd stainless mags.

I've had more blue Springfield boxes than black 'newer' boxes with my Springfield purchases.

3 Loaded models (couple of .45's and a 9mm) and a TRP all came in the blue box. In fact, no Springfield 1911 that I've bought ever came in a black box, only the XDM and XDs did.

The nice thing about the blue boxes are that they take up less space in my cabinet.

Bought Loaded model PX9151LP and it came with a grey case. If I'm not mistaken, these cases come with an extra mag slot...

New stock is black grey, old stock usually pre 2013 is blue.

My Loaded stainless came in a blue plastic case. Those things are frickin' huge.
