Same here. To me it felt as if there was almost a delay in the firing in relation to the trigger pull. Everything else seemed nice though. Went with the XDs instead.Comment

Our pool guy brought his over to test it after cleaning the pool. So, we ran a couple of mags through it. I was impressed enough with it as a carry gun that I might get one someday.NRA Certified Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun and Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor

Some good info on the LC9 here. I'm still debating between LC9 and Beretta Nano.
Anyone have any thoughts?Comment

I got the LC9 back in December. Its been a great little gun. I've put about 300 rounds through it and its run flawless. Yes the trigger is long, but its smooth and fairly light. Kinda like shooting a double action revolver with a decent trigger. If I ever get my ccw it will be on my permit. Don't worry so much about the reset. Just practice with it and you'll get used to it. I don't hear anyone bi***ing about the fact revolver triggers have to be completely released before they can fire again. And they get recommended all the time on here. If you train with it you'll be surprised at how accurate it can be."Suck on my machine gun" (Ted Nugent)

I had one and have put thousands of rounds through it with zero issues. At least 4-5000, and probably more. I carried and shot it...a LOT. Yeah the trigger is long, train through it and it's a very accurate little gun. I screwed up and shot a Shield and it side by side. My LC9 now lives in a safe for the most part. Mine was perfectly reliable, accurate, and concealed well, but the Shield is better in my opinion. If I had never shot the shield I would still be fine with the LC9 and I trust it.Comment

I love Beretta's, but have no personal experience with the Nano.
I will probably get flamed, but check out these 2 videos with respect to the LC9. Note the summary at the close of the 2nd video.
Ruger LC9, parts 1 and 2.

I had one for a year and sold it, I really wanted to like this gun.
Quick review:
Looks: good
Price: great
Concealability: excellent
Reliabiliity: excellent
Trigger: SUUUCKS!!!
When you say you have the chance to "get one" do you mean very cheap or SSE?
IMO there are way better choices out there, the shiels seems popular thogh I havent shot one and dont like the feel of it.
I have a Kahr PM9 and love it, you can get a CM9 for a bit less.Comment

Or, I can let him sell it.
If I take it, I would have on my permit
LC9
G19
Colt 1911 Full size
otherwise, i'd spend money and buy something else.
Money isn't super tight right now, but i'd rather not spend if i don't have to. Considerations are that i'd have to wait 2 years and be happy with these three.Last edited by Mossy Man; 05-14-2014, 5:47 PM.Comment

Using a YouTube video for reference.
I find hickcock45's videos informative. He is a Glock guy, but he openly states his Glock bias. I found his LC9 videos reflect my personal experience the LC9. I also see LC9's being turned a bit, but I still have mine.Comment
