    Smart gun

Guess what... I was bored and looked at the roster. The Armatix iP1 is on the roster. To my surprise, the exp date is 10/24/14.

Let's united and don't give a damn **** on the pistol. Hopefully lack of sales/vendor will kick this evil smart pistol out of CA

I saw msnbc do a piece on this. It basically said this is the gun the NRA doesn't want sold because they don't care about safety and just more kids dead. And the sheep just ate it all up. Apparently they think the NRA controls what gets sold lol.

Ironic, but not surprising. The pundits that write such drivel know nothing about guns, just like the jerks in office who draft anti-gun laws. The only thing they know about guns, is that their bodyguards have them.

My guns are plenty smart enough.

Doubt the Calguns community needs to be advised to ignore/revile/blaspheme the Armatix pistol. Plenty already said on that point. Besides, it's not currently for sale anywhere in CA that I'm aware of. A more interesting issue is how it got on the list in the first place.

Wait a sec - does it have microstamping? If not, how can it be on the roster?

Im sure it will stay on the roster even if it means bloomberg has to pay for it.

Does it have Bluetooth connectivity so it can call 911 for you in the event you need to use it defensively?

This is odd. The gun, the Armatix iP1, is indeed on the roster.

According to the specs at the manufacturer's website, it has an electronic magazine disconnect. No reference to a loaded chamber indicator or the major bugaboo, microstamping.

A little puzzling that this is on the roster, when every Gen 4 Glock is off, as are old warhorses like the Bersa Thunder.

If microstamping, LCIs, and other "requirements" aren't really required, that would be . . . interesting.

I think before us lowly citizens "get" to have all this new technology, the police and LEO should carry these first as a demonstration and example of proper gun procedure.

Can you imagine all the possibilities of things going wrong with these guns. There are enough parts in firearms that break already without adding electronics, RFID, batteries, proximity sensors, drop safety, mag disconnect, time-controlled deactivation, and of course the necessary color coding interface. Ugh!!!!

Well worse actually, it's a .22, so add in $100 for 10 rounds of .22

Remember to dial 1 before 911.

Forget about stopping power. If you can't hit it, you can't stop it.
