      It's a low brainer. 5 rounds (.45) versus 7 (9mm). I'd much rather have more rounds.

I voted the extra shots of the 9mm. Neither will give you ten though.

                .45....
its not a range toy so any decent Self defence ammo is about $1 a round 9mm or .45

I shoot my SP-01 more accurately than my other pistols, but I enjoy shooting my 97 B and Sig 1911 more. However, you didn't say if you've shot 9mm vs .45, just that you have two 9mm and one .45 that you need to pick up. If you don't have much shooting experience yet, go for the 9mm first.

Can't go wrong with either. I had both but sold the 45. Recoil isn't bad for the 45 whatsoever. I believe the 45 holds 5 on the flush mag and 7 with the extended. The 9mm holds 7 on the flush and 9 on the extended. While it is true that the 45 has stopping power, still gotta consider place shotment. Any caliber will put someone down if hit in the right spot.

Both are fun to shoot!! Good luck with your decision.

Either one you go with make sure you buy the prp spring kit. The stock springs are horrendous!! I believe my 9 came in at 8-9lbs (maybe even heavier). The spring kit made the pull smoother and dropped it to a 5.5lb. Still heavy enough to ccw.

I'd have to flip a coin or look at my ammo supply and see which I had more of. Those are my two favorite semi-auto pistol calibers.
I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

In California .45 due to magazine capacity limitations, elsewhere 9mm hi cap.
