    MPA 9mm questions....

The masterpiece arms pistols that are CA compliant come with a long muzzle device. I'm assuming this is simply for the SSE rules? Can it be removed once the pistol is purchased? They also come with a mag lock....WHY? I thought it only needed a mag lock if the mag was OUTSIDE of the pistol grip...Link to pistol below...

The mag lock keeps the 0 round mag in place, you canmail something in and get the extended release. As for the muzzle it's welded on and if you were able to get it off without having the barrel being threaded it would be ok, but threaded pistol barrels in CA are a no go. Someone chime in if I'm incorrect.

I own one. Once you leave rifle gear you can re install the mag release. Great gun! Tons of fun!

So there is no barrel length requirement on the gun once it leaves the store, right? In theory, one could just cut the barrel off right where the compensator is welded on. That would get rid of the threads and make the barrel the "right" length. Right?

          Yes.

Or you can order a non-threaded barrel from MPA.
          Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.
