    Yet.. Another Glock thread.

I will try to make this as simple and quick as possible...

I want to buy another Glock but this one has to be a G29 or G32 and no other options.. I have shot .40 & .45 and while they are nice I'm looking for something a bit more hotter and a little more snap..

Now I do plan on getting both EVENTUALLY but at the moment can only go with 1.. Tuesday I'm going to actually fondle them both and maybe shoot them together back to back.

So if you had to decide which to obtain first what would it be..? I like both guns and plan on getting both but my main concern is ammo being I don't reload and hardly ever see any locally.

Can't go wrong with the 10mm.

Plus there are quite a few conversion barrels for the G20/G29 guns.

Why not buy the G29, then get a .357 Sig drop in barrel? Best of both worlds.

        This^^^^

The Glock 29SF is the best choice. You can also run .40....

^^^ What they said. Go with the 29 so you can pull it out and shoot it bone stock with either 10mm or .40 s&w. Then spend the money on a 357 SIG conversion barrel and maybe even a 9x25 Dillon barrel. For the price of one gun and 2 barrels you will be able to shoot 4 different calibers. That should kelp you shooting no matter what ammo your LGS has in stock when you need some.

that was the idea from the jump but after a long conversation with myself I am just a person who would rather have multiple guns then different barrels.. its just my preference to own both guns in the near future.

my main concern is finding ammo for both and which one im ready to sacrifice my life for trying to find a steady supply of ammo.

Held a G29 for the first time on Friday and it felt great in my hand. Seriously considering it now over the G36.

                Here are my thoughts...

I own guns in both calibers and I find that .357sig seems to be easier to find at a reasonable price than 10mm (I don't reload and do not plan to anytime soon).

I also own a G23 (which is the same size as a G32) and chose that over a sub-compact Glock for the size. My preference of course.

Knowing what I know, if I were in your shoes, I would probably go wih a G32 first.

Good luck. Both seem to be nice.

Imma pass on Gen 4s.. too over priced for my liking and my LGS has Gen 3s at the basic $499 price tag.

So I went G29 shopping a few days ago and I handled it for a good ten minutes just really holding it at different angles trying to get attached to it and sadly I just couldn't get used to holding it at all.. I liked the overall size it was perfect buy my pinky hung way off and my ring finger couldn't really grasp the frame either.. I thought about an extension and this is where im coming to you guys again..

For those with G29's and big hands.. how well does the extension work for you.? And for those who own both G20/29 does the recoil in the 29 really snap harder being such a smaller frame then the 20.?

The Pearce grip extension (PG-29) is all you need. It doesn't increase capacity to be at the CA legal 10rnds max. All my G29 mags have them.

I also recommend the +1 grip extension for the G27, which makes 10 rnds max. and fit the hand better. I have large hands, with relatively short fingers.
I got my G29 before they were available in the short frame SF version, so my trigger finger just reaches perfectly.
The G29SF would give better control, but the gun is not hard to control, the slide is heavy/massive compared to a G26 or G27. recoil is about the same as a typical .45 ACP.
I think you could drop in a 357 Sig barrel into a G27, but not a G29??. The slide was made heavy to manage the rearward velocity of the slide with the hot 10mm round.

                            +1 on the Pearce extensions.

I get about 1.5 fingers on the G26 and G29 grips. The Pearce extensions are more of a ring-finger extension for me than a pinky extension. Even so, they work for me.

I am also tempted to file/sand down the Glock finger ridges because they sit under my fingers and not between them. Glock grips must have been designed for fingers with single-digit ring sizes.

Thanks for the info johnCCW I love the overall size of the G29 just the grip is my only gripe.. imma go ahead an order the grip extension and take it with me for a test fit and I will make my decision.. either way im walking away with a brand new G29 or G32 (in 10 days of course)
