Should every Glock owner also have a conversion barrel ?

Thinking about getting a conversion barrel for a Glock

I have done a lot of research on different types, brands, etc. but have not heard any problems with any? Well, besides maybe tighter chamber tolerances .....

I'm thinking along the lines of premature wear, corrosion, poor quality?

Should every Glock owner have a conversion barrel as well?

I don't have a conversion barrel but I do have a 6" KKM Precision barrel for my Glock 20. I haven't put any rounds through it yet but it is nice and shiny. Might buy a .40 conversion barrel but don't really need to as I can shoot .40 through the stock barrel just fine.

Just the ability to shoot more than 1 caliber out of a particular gun is justification enough in my book. I have three of those Storm Lake barrels and have been very happy with them.

My 40-9 conversion barrels have paid for themselves 10X and allowed me to have a whole lot more range days of plinking fun than I would have had otherwise.

Depends. I had bad luck with Lonewolf conversion barrels, so I either just buy more Glocks, or just the top halves. Some people had better luck with conversion barrels though.

I used to think that conversion barrels where a great idea.
But the point of aim was very different with the conversion barrel.
I ended up having to dedicate a gun to the conversion barrel and adjust the sights to match.
                  It is not worth it.
                  Do the math.
                  Conversion barrel 125.
                  3 conversion cal mags 75
                  Ejector 25
                  Total $225
GSSF new complete glock in that other cal $425
For the extra $200 I would rather have an extra complete gun.

Every Glock owner ??? No... not the ones that bought the right gun in the first place and purchase ammo in bulk or reload.

Makes sense to me to buy the .40 or 10mm and then get the 9mm barrel, especially since I hear the 9mm conversion barrel will be same OD but thicker than a stock 9mm.

But I'd rather buy a whole other 22lr pistol than a 22lr conversion for 22lr Glock practice for about same price. CA rostered and about $300. http://www.galleryofguns.com/genie/D...ISSC&mdlno=M22

I read reviews and all good except some guy who says he brought it for his "grandson".

Why no nice cheap airsoft Glocks? Cheapest one is over $100.
Am I a good shot!?!, YEAH I'M A GOOD SHOT!....i just got bad aim

I think makes sense for a 40 S&W and 357 sig as it's only a barrel swap because they share mags. But having to change the ejector or extractor is a no go for me.

A 22 LR conversion kit, as long as it's reliable, is a good idea IMO.

GSSF pricing for the G31 is $425 before dros and tax.

The ejector swap helped with consistency for me.
If you look at the 9mm ejector and the 40 cal ejector there is a real difference.
It was also highly recommended in the armorers class.
Well to tell you the truth they told you not to due a caliber swap but if you where going to to change the ejector.

I understand that Lonewolf had problems with early production that almost required an extractor change but that seems to have been fixed a long time ago. At least I've never had a problem with the 40-9 conversion in my G27 or G23 and have a few thousand 9mm rnds between them.

Is the point of aim really that much different in a G23 say between .40 and 9mm ? Found this cool video by RUN And GUN on the same subject
