Update:
Well, I rented and shot both before I purchased either, and at the time felt like I preferred the M&P. Grip angle seemed more consistent with my 1911, etc.
But I bought the Glock, and have shot it quite a bit and feel pretty comfortable with it now.
Coming back to the M&P now and it feels funny in my hand, too... curvy
But in all sincerity the Gen4 texture feels more secure/grippy.
I'm getting more accustomed to the M&P as I handle it & I think it'll feel better with a little grip tape.
Otherwise, the trigger is the most noticeable difference.
The Glock feels better stock, and for practically nothing (<$20) you can easily drop it to sub 5lbs (trigger connector)
The M&P trigger is not nearly as nice, and it seems like the APEX kits are kinda pricey.
What'd you do to your M&Ps?
I was thinking of defeating the mag safety (for USPSA, so I can release the striker on empty chambers) and changing the trigger not sure which APEX kit to go with though.
I left my G19 bone stock for HD, but on my Gen4 G17 I swapped out the trigger for Gen3 without the hump ($10) and put in a Ghost 3.5lb trigger connector along wit a 25 cent trigger job, feels pretty good right now. Oh, also put some fiber optic sights on it.sigpicComment

i would just get good with the one that you are naturally better with or like more. keep the other just b/c guns.
no point in spending too much money, time, etc. on an already filled role (unless the role is collecting
then spend away).
